Well, I just recently upgraded from Wordpress 2.0.3 (No clue why I was running it.. o_O) to 2.0.4, and now I am waiting for my host to update the version of Wordpress in Fantastico to 2.0.5 and update to that. Otherwise, everything else is going well and not alot interesting is happening; but that’s the problem with being boring old me.

Australian blogger Simon Shea has turned an ordinary home shelf unit into a shelf unit with an opening door operated by a book, just like in the movies. He calls it ‘a very amateur attempt’ but it is one definitely thing - very cool. It’s a shame it’s only got the Hot Water heater hidden behind it; still well worth a read.

Well, I decided to purchase a domain. Although, because the only ‘xenosdesign’ domain names left were .co.uk (I think) I decided to go with a new name as planned earlier. The domain I purchased was forgedeuphoria.com for $1 USD through Dotster. even if it doesnt work out, it was only $1 so no big loss at all. so, you can now access the site via the new domain, but it is only a parked domain, so if you were to visit forgedeuphoria.com/blog it would still take you to jarred.brentp.net/blog.

as the title suggests, the main site is nearing completion after many months. this blog was just a side additive to keep me amused and sane whilst designing the site. it shall continue to be maintained once the site is up. if you want to get a sneak-preview of the site, leave a comment or email me using the buttons at the left of the posts. i was going to write up a small script but i am yet to get around to it along with the stack of other things i have to get done. oh well; i guess emailing me will suffice.

Okay, the comments seem to be fixed now. I didn’t realise this theme required the Gravatars plugin; but now it is installed and so you should be able to view and write comments. =]
edit: the gravatar.com server seems to be down for maintenance, so signups / logins are disabled for ‘an indefinite period of time while gravatar 2.0 is phased in.’ Read more about it at this page or keep up with events at the gravatar.com blog.
edit #2: i have downloaded a plugin that allows you to simply check a box and provide a password / email and you will recieve the confirmation email from gravatar straight in your inbox without having to visit another page. im not sure as to whether it works or not because gravatar.com signups are currently closed.

Well once more I have changed the theme as I like this theme and the darkness of Hemingway was starting to annoy me somewhat. if you preferred Hemingway, give me a shout and I’ll put some sort of theme switcher up. For now I have to customize this theme.
